Justin Blyth
Growing up in Los Angeles in the 1980’s I absorbed the visual language of my childhood, from graffiti to skate graphics , garbage pail kids, dad’s reggae records to rap tapes and everything in between. After graduating from Pasadena's Art Center College of Design in 2004 with a degree in Graphic Design, I jumped directly into the world of commercial motion graphics, cutting my freelance chops at shops like V12, Exopolis, Hornet, Belief and PIC agency among others, eventually settling in as an Art Director at Stardust Studios. There I worked on pitches, commercials and broadcast packages for clients like HP, Nike, Sony, AT&T, ESPN, Honda, Shell, Nissan, Ford, IBM, Nokia, Adidas, NYSE, LG, Microsoft, Toyota, UPS and more. That all changed with an offer to set up a 3-man digital production company at Adidas in 2008. From there I slid into the agency world as a creative, freelancing around town before landing a job at Anomaly Amsterdam. After 5 years at Anomaly; 2 as Creative Director across multiple clients- I'm now freelancing once again. Residing in Amsterdam, I work as a multi-disciplinary Creative Director working for agencies, brands and boutiques within Amsterdam and worldwide.
I've spent time at Anomaly, Sid Lee, 180 Amsterdam, Tribal DDB, Postpanic and Woodwork working across brands like Converse, Nike, ING, Carrera, Adidas, T-Mobile, Johnnie Walker, Coke, Playstation, FOX and assorted boutiques and individuals including Dazed Digital, Yeasayer and Yung Lean, albums for Oneman, Porter Robinson and Warp Records, Arkitip, Sixpack France, Stussy, Desillusion Magazine, TED Global and Library Paper. My 35mm photography has been published in various international publications, and somewhere along the way I ran a visual moodboard called Them-Thangs.com, one of the first of it's kind.
